Man, I'm frustrated.

I just have been feeling like I'm going backwards lately. I've gained a couple of pounds back, and can't seem to shake any, despite four-times-per-week workouts and doing a decent job of eating well.

I don't really know when the backwards progression started either. Thanksgiving? Halloween? BEFORE???!? It's frustrating as hell to be trying as hard as I feel like I am, and not getting anywhere but the way I don't want to go.

I wonder if I'm being too forgiving with my portions? Or, if I'm having too much of an "I worked out, so I can pig out" attitude? Maybe it's that I haven't been really strict on making sure I get a ton of fruits and veggies?

All I know is that my little sister's wedding is FAST approaching and, at this rate, I'm still gonna look like total crap. And that pisses me off. Not in the "I'm mad so I'm going to work harder" way, either. More like in the "Eff it all" kind of way...

I need to get my groove back, Stella style.

  1. You can do this Bek! There are still 4 more months until the wedding. Plenty of time. Don't get discouraged, instead get down to business! Be more adamant about your veggies and making your own lunch/dinner and measuring out portions. You are working out a ton so you should be able to treat yourself, just be mindful about it and you will be able to stay on track. You've come so far, don't let the EffIt monster (distant relative of the Allot) get you!

  2. Tessa's right, You can do this Bec. Without your enthusiasm I wouldn't be making the changes I am. Your helping me and keeping me going forward. Keep up and push forward. Take a moment - remind yourself of why you started this journey, what made you decide to change your entire life for the better? Write them down again and post it on the fridge. Tell the Eff part of you to take a hike and hit the road (running) again! Keep pushing me to do better! By the way you LOOKED awesome at the holidays and you will be the best looking (other than the bride) at the wedding!! ~Ellen
